Introduction
Welcome! My name is Chelsea. I am a Communications major and the Training and Development Specialist at Southern Utah University. To me, the perfect job is anything that allows me to make a positive influence on my coworkers and my community. This is why I know I'll enjoy my Edge Project!
My project focuses on providing the student employees in the Human Resources office a pathway to success by implementing regular training meetings, restructuring job duties and introducing regular meetings with their supervisor (me). Upon graduation, I plan to further my career in Training and Development and also hope to be a published writer someday. I am passionate about team-work, ingenuity, and positivity.
Work Experience
February 2018- Current
Training and Development Specialist: coordinate ongoing trainings for all full-time employees; oversee student employees and maintain student leadership model.
January 2017- February 2018
Human Resources Assistant: assist guests, oversee student employment, account manager, manage various reports, assist with project management and improvement.
February 2015- September 2016
Activities Assistant: helped plan and facilitate activities. Managed calendar and assisted with advertising events. Coordinated with vendors and outside companies. Helped provide a positive environment for residents and visitors.
